DogstickerDogsticks is the Web site of Francis Turton, a technical writer and self-styled egghead. |

Me, yesterday
1969 in West Yorkshire, England.
Moved to the Midlands at age 3 and grew up mostly in Lichfield, Staffordshire; studied French and German at Lancaster University, England; spent a while trying to write a thesis on the Austrian author Thomas Bernhard, but not succeeding because he made me depressed.
In 1994 moved to Cambridge to work for a publisher of academic databases. Have worked since 2000 as a technical writer for companies in Cambridge and Cork, Ireland.
Here's my CV.
Music; reading; swimming; playing the violin badly; walking; whinging about the decline of the world, Britain and the English language; worrying about Peak Oil and climate change.
I write the odd poem as well.
