Life (lite)
Moved to the Midlands at age 3 and grew up mostly in Lichfield, Staffordshire; studied French and German at Lancaster University, England; spent 18 months trying to write a thesis on the Austrian author Thomas Bernhard, but not succeeding because he made me depressed.
In 1994 came to Cambridge to work for a publisher of academic databases. Currently work as a technical writer for a California-based mobile telecomms company.
Live in a village in south-east Cambridgeshire.
Interests
Music; reading; swimming; playing the violin badly; walking; but mainly whinging about the decline of the world, Britain and the English language.
I write the odd poem as well.
